18 Months - 2 Years​


This age group accesses our three smaller rooms throughout the day, consisting of a messy play room, main play room and sensory room. We concentrate on providing a stimulating environment whilst supporting the three prime areas of development, communication and language, physical and personal, social and emotional development. These areas build the foundation for a child's enthusiasm for learning now and in the future. This age group have a 1:3 ratio for under 2 years and a 1:4 ratio for 2-3 years.

During the morning, the children will access our main hall area and free-flow to the garden with planned activities to prepare them for school. The activities allow the children to develop in all seven area of learning according to the Early Years Foundation Stage, (EYFS)

Expressive Art and Design

All activities are purposeful with some planned, based on children's interests. There are additional activities which help extend a child's knowledge in areas they may not have experienced before, such as Forest School.
